About
Hi, I’m Claire.
Having been in the online marketing world since 2007, I’ve stomped through more digital terrain than I have on my ultra marathons. And trust me, that’s saying something!
But instead of blisters, it’s given me one heck of a playbook on digital marketing strategy.
Welcome to my new website, where my mission is to level the digital marketing playing field for the smaller players.
Whether you’re a business owner still getting the hang of this ‘digital thing’, or a Virtual Assistant looking to upscale, I’m ready to be your no-nonsense mentor who isn’t just super supportive, but will give you a firm nudge when you need one.
With roots in digital marketing since 2007, I’ve weathered the ebbs and flows of the industry. From TU Marketing, my venture celebrated for its 8-year average client retention rate, to My Tech VA, the go-to hub for all things tech, my experience is pretty solid!
But my contributions don’t stop at my business ventures. My voice resonates on the globally recognised online magazine Search Engine Land and has echoed across stages from BrightonSEO to collaborations with esteemed names like Essex County Council and Lisa Johnson.
Beyond the screen…
Living in the picturesque Spanish countryside, my days oscillate between working hard plotting SEO strategies and discovering new routes to take my two hiking groups on. My penchant for pushing boundaries has seen me trailblazing the Inca Trail in Peru, embarking on a 100km non-stop walk across the South Downs, and even getting down and dirty with trail running.
In recognition of my passion, British Athletics sponsored my coaching qualification. Subsequently, I founded the Girls Go Running Facebook group, amassing over 1000 members, and landed features in both Runners World and Women’s Running Magazine.
I champion two philosophies…

Often, consistency and micro-changes can revolutionise your trajectory. While I shun the frenzied hustle culture, I’m equally wary of the “it’s all too easy” bandwagon. In short, I’m both realistic and highly determined.
My spirit of defiance stems partly from a personal battle. Diagnosed at age 5 with Stills Disease, an autoimmune condition, I’ve grappled with challenges, including partial blindness in one eye. Yet, this hasn’t dampened my spirit.
Instead, it’s galvanised my commitment to challenge my limits.
At the core of my world are my three children and husband. They’re my anchor, reminding me that while SEO strategies (and hiking routes) do indeed need to be planned and followed to the letter, genuine joy lies in the unpredictable journey of life.
